Britney Spears is back!!

My goodness, I am not going to lie, I had a slight tear run down my face when I heard the new Britney Spears song, Womanizer. Although the song, found on the Youtube video below, isn’t of the highest quality, you hear Britney’s new song, and it just brings a tear to my eye. It drops on September 22 at your local radio station, and her album is set to debut on December 2 (her 27th Birthday)!

She is happy, healthy, back with her old manager Larry Rudolph, and entertaining. The video below is of Britney Spears practicing her performance with her dancers. Tear. We <3 Brit Brit!!!

The Hills are alive…

Did you watch The Hills?

I watched the premiere, it wasn’t that great. This better be the last season, it is getting boring. How long is the Spencer / Heidi vs. Lauren thing going to last?

I can’t wait till Stephanie Pratt betrays Lauren, that will be good, but besides that, The Hills is so over. I am ready for Whitney to take center stage with her PR show between NYC and LA.

Till next week…

Britney Spears attended Jenny McCarthy & Jim Carey’s private benefit Generation Rescue, an organization dedicated to researching autism, in Los Angeles this past weekend. She kept to herself and to her assistant Brett most of the evening, but seemed happy and healthy - the way our Brit Brit should be.

I have always been the one on Britney’s side through it all - I am glad to see her family’s influence is keeping her alive and happy.

The Dark Knight Review

Blogged under Celebrity Gossip, Los Angeles by nicolette on Monday 21 July 2008 at 11:32 am

Ok who didn’t see The Dark Knight this past weekend?

The movie shattered records - expectantly- taking in $155.3 mill this past weekend. And guess what, that is the biggest opening - ever. Congrats to Heath because he deserves it.

The second biggest was Spider Man 3 with $151.1 back in 2007.

Did you see it? What did you think?

My thoughts:

Way too dark. Not magical. I can’t stand this new director, Christopher Nolan - he has some serious Batman issues.

They need to bring back Jim Carey as the Riddler and Arnold as Mr. Freeze because that is the real batman. Although corny and idiotic, Batman isn’t supposed to be as dark as this batman was. And Perez agrees with me.

The movie was also way too long, shortly shy of three hours, you don’t know how many times I would think to myself “ok it is going to end now” and then about an hour more of the movie would proceed. Oh yea and if you like Saw and the whole “who are you going to choose to live or die concept?” - done more than once- then you are going to love it.

Thoughts on Heath- honestly not to be mean but, if Heath didn’t die then there wouldn’t be any Oscar talk at all. He did a great job, not a spectacular job. He wasn’t given that much material anyway, so what he was given with, he did great. The action scenes weren’t “wowing” either; I think Matrix beat them on that. Anyways, I hated Batman Begins and now I know not to see another Batman movie as long as the director / writer, Christopher Nolan, is on board and he hasn’t seen a psychiatrist about his umm “Batman issues”.  Seriously, why do we have to make everything so serious? If I wanted to be depressed and see something “real”, I would go to CNN.com.

Coachella Music Festival in California this past weekend was CRAZY. Everyone came out to play, including Nicole Richie and baby daddy Joel Madden.

Coachella wouldn’t be Coachella without Brody Jenner hitting on some fresh meat.

And the legendary Prince performed, as promised, and did a terrific job.

BAPESTORE Opening

Wednesday night the stars came out to support the opening of BAPESTORE at Bape in West Hollywood, California. Who came out? My favorite Nicole Richie, Joel Madden, Pharrell Williams, and designer Nigo.

Kanye West was also able to stop by. His tour, Glow in the Dark, has been getting great reviews and made a stop in Los Angeles this past week. Here is Kanye, who is wearing very similar glasses that personal stylist, Sayne Kharyi, was wearing when I interviewed him a few weeks back. Kanye took a quick photo with artist Takashi Murakami.
