Easter

Hey everyone I hope you had a fantastic Easter! If you don’t celebrate Easter than I hope you had a great weekend.  I had a great and very busy weekend!

I ventured into the fabulous Williamsburg, Brooklyn to spend Easter with my family.

On Humbold St. in Williamsburg there is a church there, St. Francis, and they had the most beautiful recreation of Jesus burial site. They recreated the Rocky Mountains that Jesus was burred in. They had a table inside the portion of the mountain with a light inside and a white sheet on the table. There was a “rock” in front of the structure pushed to the side to show the empty “tomb” that would have been where Jesus was burried (but he of course rose from the dead-that is the celebration of Easter). There were also about twenty crosses in front of this recreation made out of palms and each cross had purple and pink ribbon tied to the center (the colors of lent). It was quite beautiful, if you live in Brooklyn you should stop by and see the beautiful recreation. I unfortunately didn’t have my camera with me and I researched to see if the church had a website but they do not.

Just something beautiful I saw today.

 Xoxo
