Ahh fun, beach, 80 degree weather! I needed a nice little break from cold 20 degree Manhattan and I loved my last minute total on the whim trip to Florida. I flew down late Tuesday night, it was raining all day along the entire east coast, so the flight was pretty bumpy, but we landed safe and sound and Sue and I began to enjoy our vacation. Wednesday it was raining in Ft. Lauderdale (of course!!) and a little bit chilly around 60 degrees. So we went shopping at the mall and Sue bought everything she saw and I didn’t buy these beautiful ruby red shoes that I saw at Nine West, but I am so going to by them when I am back in the cold New York weather. I also saw these Prada aviator sunglasses that I really want, but I am going to be honest, me and aviator sunglasses don’t really go. I was convinced that since they were Prada they would look good on me, but they just looked alright? I didn’t end up buying them because I was iffy on them but I may just end up buying them back here in New York. They are really cute with little diamonds on the side, what do you think?

Thursday- Sue and I went to the Palm Aire Day Spa in the Wyndham Hotel for a nice quick relaxing Swedish massage. It was cold again around 70 degrees. After going to the Spa we went to lunch at Blue Moon restaurant. It was delicious! Every bite was amazing, and I loveeeee seafood so I really enjoyed this restaurant! I had the salmon with mashed potatoes, green beans, and plantain chips. Wow delicious! Afterwards Sue had the chunky monkey flavored ice cream and I ate half of a white chocolate mouse cake ( I had to save my diet somewhere along the way haha). Every bite was amazing, I would highly recommend this restaurant. But only if you love seafood, that was the only thing on the menu. There was only one chicken dish and one steak dish. After Blue Moon, we went into the Jacuzzi at our hotel for a little bit to relax our muscles from the massage that we had. Then we ate some pizza for dinner and watched Lost!! You know my favorite TV Show ever! It is getting so good!! If you don’t watch it, you have to it is so addicting!
Friday- Friday was beach day! We ate at the House of Pancakes for breakfast. Sue had 3 banana pancakes and I had scrambled eggs ( I tried to eat low cal somewhere). Then we went to the beach and layed in the sun for 4 hours!! We got quite red. I usually put sun block but since I only had one day in the sun I wanted to get as dark as possible. Yea well me & Sue got as red as possible!!! We felt it that night! We still made it out though. We went to the movies to see The Other Boleyn Girl with Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson and hottie, Eric Bana. It was a great movie! It isn’t as chick flick as it seems, and Natalie Portman just out shined Scarlett Johansson. I didn’t know Natalie Portman had so much talent. Scarlett did look a little bored in her role as good girl with a heart Mary Boleyn. Great movie!
The next day we flew back to cold New York! It was a great last minute break. Just what the doctor ordered! Hmm where should I go next? Vegas? Costa Rica?? I only plan things a few days in advance, so we shall see where the next adventure takes us….
