Oscars Oscars Oscars! I am making all highlights in red because last night the Oscars screamed RED!!!

The 2008 Oscars… what did we think? The Fashion could have been a lot better. I was very disappointed this year. Although the winners of the Red Carpet were Heidi Klum, Katherine Heighl and shockingly I liked Cameron Diaz’s dress as well.

Miley Cyrus was there as well and she looked age appropriate, even though I have no clue why she was there. She has an excellent publicist that is all I have to say.

Jessica Alba  was beautiful and  glowing in a feathered Marchesa plum dress. Nicole Kidman- you couldn’t even tell she is pregnant. Cate Blanchett looks like she is going to pop, but she looked beautiful and delicate in a dark purple as well, except I would label her dress more of a grapefruit. It is a little brighter than Jessica Alba’s plum dress.

Disappointingly, George Clooney did not win Best Actor for Michael Clayton. I stayed up just to see if he would win, I am a big fan of George Clooney, he seems so funny and real. His girlfriend, Sarah Larson, (a former cocktail waitress at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas) has definitely cast her spell on him. Think George will be the next in hollywood to get married? I don’t know about marriage but…. Sarah Larson may be the next baby mama in Hollywood!

I love New York. But after awhile, a girl gets bored of the pollution, rain/snow/”wintry mix” and we just need some fun in the sun. A girl can only go to a tanning bed so many times and substitute it for the real deal. As an attempt to get out of the mode of New Yorkers in February, as we are sick of the horrible weather and are just counting down the days until April because then we should shyly see 70 degrees, I am jetting down to Florida for the rest of the week. I am going to be laying on the beach from Wednesday morning ( I fly out Tuesday night) - Saturday, and of course I packed 6 (or maybe it was 7) pairs of jeans, 4 bikinis, 5 day outfits, 5 night outfits, and 5 pairs of shoes. Except I am leaving my Valentino’s home. Do you think I will be covered? I still am not sure if I am bringing my laptop, so you might not get any updates until Saturday =(

Who loves Joaquin Pheonix? Yea he is hot! And you know when I realized he was hot, when I saw Signs. Since then I have been a huge fan of Joaquin and M. Night Shamylan, the Director who introduced me to Joaquin in Signs. Now M. Night Shamylan has done it again! His movies are usually thrillers but provide intelluct to his audience that we never thought of on our own (umm hello?!? The Village is a prime example!!!). So here is the trailer for M. Night’s new movie, The Happening, with Mark Wahlberg, another actor I am a huge fan of!! Can’t wait for this movie to come out on Friday the 13th of June (ohh just wrote a date like the British do haha). Check it out.

 Baby is in the air! Everyone in Hollywood is either pregnant or they are popping them out! Next on the Hollywood Baby Boom is Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie. Congratulations to the happy couple, I have always been supportive of them (Team Brad!). Below is a picture of Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt at the 2008 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday night. This is when Angie “debuted” her bump! This will be the 5th child for Brangelina. This child will be joining Maddox 6, Pax 4, Zahara 3 and Shiloh 1.

Fashionistas need a little break once in awhile! Going to spas, shopping, although it is a little break, there is work in both activities. To take a nice break I spent a quiet Saturday night with the boyfriend. We went out to dinner and on the way to the restaurant we were watching Dane Cook’s comedic standup (Yea we watch movies while he drives lol). I didn’t realize how hilarious Dane Cook was! After our dinner, since I became such a huge fan of Dane Cook in a matter of minutes, we watched Employee of the Month. Dane Cook was really good in it. I didn’t think he would be that great of an actor but he surprised me, and so did Jessica Simpson. He was a better actor than Jessica Simpson, but I thought the movie was going to be a lot worse. Jessica Simpson was pretty funny, and her “ears” in the movie were hysterical! Poor girl, she would have never known what it was like to show off diamonds from Tiffany’s! I would actually recommend it to anyone who is in a mood for a comedy that is just plain, simple, and just funny. Sometimes after going going going all week (work work work basically for the both of us) it is nice to just have a relaxing night in.

Britney Spears finally got to see her two boys Jayden James and Sean Preston today. She hasn’t seen the boys since January 3, when she had a stand off with Kevin and refused to give her children back. We all know how that ended up ( a trip to the  psychiatric ward-for the first time in 2008).  I assume that her dad, Jamie Spears, being a strong influence in her life recently has helped her get visitation rights in a “therapeutic setting” from the court, as stated at www.people.com, meaning her psychiatrist was present during the visit.

We hope Britney Spears gets better! Baby steps, baby steps.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony welcomed twins - a boy and a girl! They were born Friday February 22 in Long Island, New York. Congratulations to the couple! I am sure they are absolutley thrilled!! I hear that they are getting a reported $6 million to sell the pictures of their new babies (most likely to People magazine). What will they do with all that money? Give it to charity? What would Brangelina do?
